The background explore venues of STEEP analysis and shortlists pain-points & solutions. The recent pandemic, in combination with the digital age, has led to several incongruencies in physical and mental health for people across the globe. Researches done through PubMed, Medline, and Science Direct electronic have revealed dreadful numbers in the effect such disasters have on the perception of life and daily activities.
The vision for the ‘Design Futures 2050’ is to create a healthy community living through stark lifestyle modification. Such a metamorphosis is encouraged through a point accumulation system based on fitness activities performed by the user. The activities shall be tracked using an aesthetic wearable device that suits everyday’s fashion.
Several Physiological readings taken in conjunction can reveal the state of mind and physical health of an individual. In order for the governing agency to track the user’s authentic performance of a healthy lifestyle, the wearable device would track the below mentioned readings, which when scientifically analyzed will determine the health and fitness status of the user. The recorded readings are Temperature, Respiration, EEG, ECG, EMG, Electrodermal Activity, Photoplethysmograph, and Sleep Cycle.
Our fingers provide the most accurate reading of many biometrics that directly impact how we feel. A smart-ring on the finger will act as one’s daily health compass to keep one on track and healthy. It will paint a holistic picture of one’s fitness. Whether under the weather, just stressed, or having bad sleep cycles, the wearable on the finger can detect the negative conditions through the physiological readings and acknowledge for improvements.
Several tasks shall be measured in order to determine the Fitness level and Scoring factor of the user. Eleven such measurable tasks are detailed below. Such tasks shall be detected through the physiological readings of the body using the Smart-Ring. The tasks include physical fitness activities, mental fitness chores, hydration, avoiding hazardous intake, sleep, screentime reduction, locomotion, Medical checks, medical talks, help-a-friend programs and digital games.
The user will be automatically given as well as can voluntarily participate in personalized challenges everyday. The app will track the users challenges and reward with VERY points for future redemption. This will act as a cognitive reinforcement system that steers folks to perform well in the fitness realm so that they can have a monetary advantage.
